Chilliwack – With little fanfare and just a short note on social media, RickRack in the Wack wont be back.
Along with the Chilliwack Players Guild, Rickrack was a Chilliwack celebration of all kinds of theatre. Produced annually by the Chilliwack Players Guild.
That has stopped.
Dave Stephen of the RickRack Committee told FVN: We want to advise that the decision has been made to forgo a RickRack in the ‘Wack festival in 2018. This comes after much deliberation by the RickRack committee and Chilliwack Players Guild executive. A combination of things have caused us to make this decision, primarily the need for personnel to run the festival, and the time of year/season. RickRack in the ‘Wack may return in subsequent years, but we wanted to advise of this status for 2018. Thank you all for your interest and support in our fringe-style festival.
There was no other significant reason even though the festival lost a little bit of money but not enough to cause cancellation just for that.
