Langley -SEPTEMBER 5 UPDATE – Langley RCMP says charges have been approved in connection with a double homicide in Langley.
Langley RCMP confirm they were called to 62A Crescent and 64 Avenue during the early hours of September 1 where they found an adult man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Travis MacPhail of Langley has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder as well as possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, uttering threats and aggravated sexual assault.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) identified the female victim as 34-year-old Brandy Petrie of Burnaby and the male victim as 20-year-old Avery Levely-Flescher of Surrey.
SEPTEMBER 1 UPDATE – Early Friday morning (September 1, 2017 just after 5:30 AM), Langley RCMP was called to 232 street and 64th Avenue after a report of gun shots.
Two people, one male and one female, were found dead at the scene.
RCMP/IHIT believe this was a targeted shooting.
There is no word if this is linked to the Abbotsford Homicide on Thursday night.
The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.
