Child Luring Charges Against Mission Elementary School Principal

Mission/Abbotsford – Creep Catchers have been highlighted in the news over the past few months, exposing (pardon the pun) people who have allegedly been trying to solicit sex from minors.

Recently a Surrey Mountie was investigated.

Now a charge of child luring has been approved against a Mission Elementary School Principal (Windebank Elementary)-  37-year-old Jason Obert, allegedly caught in a Fraser Valley Creep Catchers sting (the video was first aired on line in October).

Abbotsford police say they met with Creep Catchers and went over some video.

Abbotsford Police say they do not condone the practices of  Creep Catchers.

Constable Ian MacDonald says policing should ultimately be left to police, who make it their mandate to ensure public safety.

APD has since taken possession of some video of their Creep Catchers sting and other materials.

Provincial Crown Counsel recommended charges (standard procedure).

Restrictions include no contact with anyone under 18 unless it’s his own children as well, no internet access.
