On November 1, 2016 at about 4 p.m., a lockdown was put in place at Mountain Institution (a medium security federal institution next to Kent which is maximum security), to enable staff members to conduct a general search.
The search was ordered to ensure the safety and security of the institution, its staff and inmates. Normal operations will resume as soon as it is considered safe to do so.
Visits have been suspended until the search is completed.

Mission – Shortly after 6AM Sunday January 18, the Mission Fire Rescue Service advised Mission RCMP that they had just arrived at a fully engulfed
