DROP THE PUCK – 2016-2017 Chiefs Season Starts Tonight

Chilliwack – OK, enough waiting, let’s get ‘er on!

The Chilliwack Chiefs regular season starts tonight with a road game against the Langley Rivermen.

The Chiefs  announced that forward Jordan Kawaguchi will serve as the team’s Captain for the 2016-17 season. Kawaguchi is returning for his fourth season with the Chiefs and becomes just the second player in team history to wear the “C” for two seasons. Doug Ast served as Captain for the 1992-93 and 1993-94 seasons.

Defenseman Olivier Arseneau will serve as an Assistant Captain, a position he held last season as well.

Joining Arseneau as Assistant Captains are returning forwards Kale Kane and Linden Hora. Both are entering their final season of junior hockey and their second season with the Chiefs.
