City Of Chilliwack Employee Killed In Traffic Accident

Chilliwack – The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died after a motor vehicle incident in Rosedale on Aug. 12, 2016.

He is James Hendrick Lindhout, aged 23, of Chilliwack.

Mayor Sharon Gaetz opened the August 16 session of City Council with a tribute to the City of Chilliwack employee.

Mr. Lindhout was the operator of a motorcycle that was travelling on the Bridal Falls Road in Rosedale at about 8 p.m. on Aug. 12, 2016, when the motorcycle was in collision with a car pulling out of a gas station parking lot. Mr. Lindhout was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

Mr. Lindhout’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
