Abbotsford (With files from CTV) – It’s a crime that makes you shake your head.
Why?
Abbotsford police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a defibrillator.
It was stolen out of an on duty ambulance.
A portable automated external defibrillator (AED) was taken out of the back of a vehicle on Sunday.
It was originally reported missing from an ambulance station in the 2000-block of Abbotsford Way, but it could have been taken at another location, and that confusion increases the problem.
APD Const. Ian MacDonald says even though the device is expensive, it doesn’t have much of a resale value.
Abbotsford Police Department can be reached on its non-emergency line at 604-859-5225.
