Abbotsford – On Sunday night June 19, 2016 at 7:38 pm, Abbotsford Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a large fight at Finnegan’s Pub, located at 33780 King Road. APD Major Crime Detectives have determined that this was not a “bar fight”. The investigation has shown that a group of males arrived at the establishment to specifically target a single victim. Two persons suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.
Witnesses are being interviewed and investigators continue to gather forensic and video evidence. The APD Major Crime Unit is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying individuals and witnesses involved in this assault as well as vehicles that are possibly associated.
Incidents like this are rare in our local establishments. The business owner and staff are cooperating with the police. However, the participants of the fight, including the victim, are not cooperative.
