Abby PD Find Body In Lonzo Creek Park

Abbotsford (With files from Abby News/KAM Productions)– March 15 UPDATE – Coroner rules that this is NOT a suspicious death.

ORIGINAL STORY MARCH 11 –  Abbotsford Police investigating the death of a homeless person after a body was found at Lonzo Creek Park.

The body was found in the area behind Save-On-Foods on Sumas Way.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at about 12:15 p.m., but paramedics soon left.

Abby Police released a brief statement:Police are on scene of man found deceased in Lonzo Creek Park.

Today at 11:25 a.m. the Abbotsford Police Department received a call of a man down in Lonzo Creek Park. When officers arrived on scene they learned he was deceased.
The cause of death is not known at this time. APD Major Crime Detectives and Forensic Identification Service officers are currently on scene.
The deceased has been preliminarily identified as a 54 year old Abbotsford man.
