Mission RCMP Execute Two Warrants – Drugs + Firearms In Mission, Pot In Deroche

Mission, BC – Mission RCMP have been busy in November.

First, Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Mission, locating drugs, firearms and stolen property.

On November 5, 2015, The Mission RCMP Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 32800 block of 4th Ave in Mission.  Two suspects were arrested at the scene.  The search of the residence located several firearms, ammunition, drugs and stolen mail.  A quantity of stolen property linked to break and enters in the Mission area over the last year was also recovered.  Numerous charges have been laid against both residents.

Carl BRANDOW (36yrs) faces multiple charges, including careless storage of a firearm, careless storage of ammunition, possessing a firearm contrary to prohibition, illegal possession of identity documents and multiple drug possession charges.

Sherry ROBISON (36yrs) faces multiple charges, including careless storage of a firearm, careless storage of ammunition, illegal possession of identity documents and multiple drug possession charges.

Both accused appeared in court and were released on bail pending trial.

Second, Mission RCMP have executed two search warrants in the Deroche area in relation to the production and sale of marijuana.

On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, Mission Detachment RCMP members executed two search warrants in the Deroche area.  Acting upon complaints from the public, an investigation into the illegal production and sale of marijuana was initiated earlier this year.  The investigation revealed that marijuana and marijuana derivatives were being illegally produced at the residential property and sold at a commercial premise on Lougheed Highway which was being operated as a marijuana dispensary.  Search warrants were obtained and executed at both the commercial and residential properties.  Police seized a significant amount of marijuana and marijuana derivatives, including a quantity of “shatter”.  One adult man and one adult woman were arrested in relation to the illegal production and sale of a controlled substance.  They have since been released from custody and charges against them are pending.
