Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaigns

Fraser Valley – Those iconic red kettles make their annual debut in Chilliwack and throughout the Fraser Valley this weekend.

On Saturday, November 21st , Christmas Kettle volunteers will begin ringing the bells at across Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

The Chilliwack  Salvation Army will be looking to fill approximately 3800 hours with volunteers in two-hour kettle shifts throughout the pre-Christmas season.

These volunteers are needed in order to meet the 2015 goal of raising $148,000 in Chilliwack in their biggest fundraising effort of the year. The funds all stay in Chilliwack, and will assist with the ongoing needs of The Salvation Army Food Bank, Family Services, Soup Kitchen, clothing and household vouchers, emergency services, Homeless Outreach and housing assistance, and more.

Abbotsford is in the same predicament for need.
