Mission BC – The District of Mission Council is proposing a budget/tax increase of 1.68% for 2016.
This proposal includes packages aimed at maintaining and enhancing services, saving for future infrastructure and information on the proposed drainage utility.
Council is also proposing a 1% increase in municipal water utility user rates and a 4% increase in municipal sewer utility user rates to ensure that critical infrastructure can be built and/or maintained without borrowing.
There is no increase being proposed for 2016 for the curbside collection of refuse and recycling/compost.
