Port Alberni – Connor McCarthy’s first BCHL goal with 13 minutes left in the third period stood as the winner as the Chiefs earned a 4-2 win in Alberni Valley Saturday night.

The win was the second straight for the Chiefs who improved their record to 6-4-1-2.

Jesse Lansdell opened the scoring for the Chiefs just 59 seconds into the game when his centering attempt deflected off a Bulldogs defenseman in behind goaltender Chris Tai.
