Fraser Valley – Elections Canada voter information cards are now in the mail. And there is a major point that you NEED TO KNOW!
Unlike the BC Provincial Election, with the Federal Election you MUST report to the poll that’s assigned to you. You can’t pick and choose where you can vote and expect Elections Canada staff to do any paperwork.
Check to make sure all the information on the card is correct.
Advanced voting days fall on the Thanksgiving long weekend, October 9-12.
So what if you are out of the country for the October 19 vote?
You CAN vote today if you want to or if you’re going to be out of the country, but you will have to go to an Elections Canada office and get a special ballot.
Elections Canada registration information can be found here.
