Chiefs Weekend Sweep Of The Eagles

Chilliwack, BC – The power was on as the wind and rain howled. The Chiefs started their 2015-16 Home exhibition season with a win.

Kale Kane scored twice and added an assist as the Chiefs completed a weekend sweep of the Surrey Eagles with a 5-2 home ice win Saturday.

Zach Giuttari, Jake Smith and Vimal Sukumaran also scored for the Chiefs who dominated the game, outshooting the Eagles 51-20.

Aidan Pelino was solid in goal for the Chiefs, turning away 18 Eagles shots.

Chilliwack was 3/9 on the power play and 9/10 on the penalty kill with one shorthanded goal.

The Chiefs next game is Tuesday night in Hope vs The Coquitlam Express. Game time is 7pm
