Abbotsford/Chilliwack/Hope – Metro Vancouver has issued an air quality advisory for the eastern portions of the Fraser Valley.
That would be for areas east of Abbotsford, including Chilliwack, Hope, Agassiz, Kent, Harrison, Kilby and the area surrounding the Wood Lake Fire/Harrison Lake
The advisory is because of an increase in fine particulate matter from some of the big wildfires burning outside our region.
Much of the smoke is thought to be coming from Washington State, but some is coming from the Wood Lake fire near Harrison Lake.
If you have respiratory problems, you are warned to take it easy, and not spend too much time outdoors.
