Abby PD Nab Serial Robber After Standoff

Abbotsford, BC (Global) – Abbotsford police have arrested a man suspected in a string of four robberies over the last week.

Twenty-nine-year-old Russell Andrew Amos was taken into custody Thursday after a two-hour standoff with the APD’s Emergency Response Team at an apartment complex in the 33900-block of Old Yale Road.

The robberies took place at two restaurants, a gas station and a beer and wine store. In all four robberies, the suspect is alleged to have shown a weapon or indicated he had a weapon.
