Hope, BC – On June 19, 2015 (at 8:53 pm) Hope Fire Department had contacted Hope RCMP to report a dumpster fire at the local Rec Centre Skate Park. Police had attended and spoke with the Fire Chief who stated that a small fire was doused in the dumpster.
A witness had observed a male throw a bunch of paper into the bin and a bottle of unknown substance.
The male then lit a piece of paper on fire into the bin and then departed the scene. Moments later the bottle of substance exploded adding to the fire. Luckily the Fire Department doused it before it grew.
The male suspect is described as skinny, approximately 5’10 with black hair wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans and police are interested in identifying him.
