Abbotsford Man Charged with Child Luring and Exposing Child to Sexual Images

Abbotsford BC – In December 2014, the Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department embarked on an investigation into child exploitation. Parents of a 12-year-old girl in Utah, USA, found pornographic images and online correspondence from an alleged 15-year-old boy from Vancouver. Preliminary investigation indicated that the actual suspect was an adult male from Abbotsford.

After extensive investigation, 22 year old Robert Madison KOENIG, was arrested on Thursday, July 9, 2015. A search warrant was subsequently executed on his Abbotsford residence. He has now been charged with Child Luring and Exposing a Child to Sexually Explicit Material.

This investigation is continuing and electronics seized from the home will be forensically examined.

KOENIG has been released on court conditions that prohibit contact with anyone under 16 years of age. He is not permitted to be in parks, playgrounds, recreation centers or places a person under the age of 16 might be expected to be present. He may not use a computer to access pornography of any kind.
