Chilliwack RCMP Looking For Restaurant Robbery Suspect

Chilliwack BC –  Chilliwack RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in the robbery of a local restaurant.

Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2015 ( 5:42 p.m.) a man with his face covered entered a restaurant (Chili’s) in the 46200 block of Yale Road. The male allegedly reached over the counter taking money from the till and food. The suspect reportedly ran away from the restaurant with stolen cash and product.

Chilliwack General Duty officers supported by Integrated Police Dog Services immediately responded to the robbery complaint.  They conducted a thorough search of the area but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male, wearing a jacket with black sleeves, grey vest, light grey pants, and carrying a brown satchel bag.

“Our General Investigation Support Team and RCMP Forensic Identification Section continue to follow all investigational leads to apprehend the person responsible for this robbery. We also looking at whether this latest robbery may be connected to any others,” said Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment spokesperson Corporal Mike Rail.
