Fundraiser for 38 Year Old Chilliwack Lineman Diagnosed with Rapidly Spreading Cancer

Chilliwack – Over $15K was been raised in the first for Chris Bourque, a Chilliwack lineman for 38 years, who was recently diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), a rapidly spreading cancer.

Earlier this year Chris started suffering from severe back pain. Doctors found 3 lesions in his spine, so he underwent C-Spine surgery to remove a section of his tumours and spine. The cancer had metastasized into his bones and he has lost all mobility from the waist down.

A GoFundMe fundraiser was started to help Chris with the costs of his recovery and to cover living expenses for his family while he is out of work. Support from the community continues to pour in.
