Stranger Days – Abbotsford Arts Council Summer Portrait Series

Abbotsford – The City of Abbotsford, in partnership with the Abbotsford Arts Council are proud to present Stranger Days, a new art exhibition by the Go Play Outside’s 2020 Artist In Residence, Luke Pardy. This exhibition features portrait photos that were taken at multiple park locations across Abbotsford this past summer. Subjects were captured using a unique large format 4X5 view camera. This work is intended to serve as a reminder of the people and connections that are waiting for us in a post-COVID world.

Portraits are displayed inset into large window spaces at each of the exhibition sites allowing for extended viewing opportunities.

The work will be displayed at both Kariton Art Gallery – 2387 Ware Street and the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium – 32315 South Fraser Way from April 1st to 30th.

Pardy’s work can also been seen throughout Abbotsford on several bus shelters from April 5th – April 30th. These display spaces  to encourage people to go out and experience art in their city in a safe, physically distanced way.
