Chiliwack RCMP Bust Suspect In Magdalena Place/Robinson Road B&E

Chilliwack – Chilliwack RCMP have made an arrest of a break and enter suspect.

The arrest followed a report made by a neighbour to RCMP on December 5, around mid-afternoon of a stranger leaving the backyard of a home in the 45000-block of Magdalena Place. Officers arrived at the address where police investigators gathered evidence associating a man and a vehicle to a break and enter into the home.

Early the same evening as officers continued their investigation they identified the man linking him and the vehicle to a residence in the 3300-block of Robinson Road. After being seen travelling on Robinson Road and failing to stop for officers converging to the area the vehicle and suspect were quickly located at the linked address where the suspect was arrested by police.

Ifraz Shamil Khan, 40, of Yarrow is charged with break and enter and flight from police. Khan remains in custody pending a court date in January.

RCMP remind everyone who witnesses anything they believe to be suspicious in nature to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or, should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
