Cardiac Care At CGH Receives Two New Holter Monitors From Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation Donation

Chilliwack – Cardiac Care at Chilliwack General Hospital was the recipient of two new holter monitors thanks to a donation to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) by the Pacific Open Heart Association.

“This donation from the Pacific Open Heart Association will help the health care team in Cardiac Care monitor more patients” explained Liz Harris, Executive Director – FVHCF. “We are grateful for the commitment to the health care of residents in Chilliwack.”

A Holter monitor is a battery-operated portable device that measures and records your heart’s activity (ECG) continuously for 24 to 48 hours or longer depending on the type of monitoring used. The device is the size of a small camera. It has wires with silver dollar-sized electrodes that attach to your skin.

The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation continues to fund vital equipment and programs for Chilliwack General Hospital; all funds raised in Chilliwack support Chilliwack.

If you would like to help support your local hospital you can do so by contacting the FVHCF at 1-877-661-0314 or online at www.fvhcf.ca.
