Coneheads In Cultus Demolished – The End Of The Era (VIDEO)

Cultus Lake – Back in August, everyone knew that the Coneheads Ice Cream stand was going to close on the Labour day weekend.

It has been a fixture since Owner Hank Jones and his wife first saw the ice cream stand at its original location on Vedder Road in 1991 and with a little prodding from his wife, Hank bought the stand in 1994 and moved it to the current location, just outside of the village of Cultus Lake. But heart problems forced Hank to retire, and the end of the ice cream.

Laurie Proskinposted to the Facebook page Cultus Lake Community Association:

IT’S A SAD MOMENT …….😭😭😭

As I drove home this morning after dropping Emma at school, I passed by this sad demolition.

Many memories have been made here with this ice cream stand. Drives to the cottage, drives home, visiting with friends from out of town, celebrating camp pick up. Let’s be honest, ice cream and Coneheads have been at the core of our family summer memories for the last 11 years since we bought our cottage at the lake.

Passing it several times a day, since we moved here almost 6 years ago, has really made it a deep emotional landmark.

Well, sometimes life brings change. I would love to celebrate this place today, so please, if you have a Coneheads favorite memory, please share pics and thoughts below.
