Chilliwack’s Financial Literacy Committee Hosting Money Skills Financial Empowerment Training For Low Incomes Families, Seniors – Thursday November 7

Chilliwack – Chilliwack’s Financial Literacy Committee is hosting a Money Skills Financial Empowerment training event in celebration of Financial Literacy Month (November).

Thursday November 7, 10:00-4:30 at the Chilliwack Learning Society, 8472 Harvard Place, in the 2nd floor seminar room. Refreshments and lunch provided.

Money Skills is a program designed to help participants increase their knowledge and confidence in the tasks of daily money management and improve their relationship with money.

The training offers a safe and dynamic environment for adults to share and build their money skills. Information on various aspects of everyday money matters is delivered in plain language. The training offers practical knowledge appropriate for a diverse population including low income participants, women, seniors, immigrants, and refugees. Learn how to use the Money Smart resources with groups and/or one-to-one settings; with topics such as Budgeting, Banking, Credit, and Consumerism.
