Abbotsford Teen ID’d As Victim In Fatal Crash on “Remote Section” Of Chilliwack Lake Road

Chilliwack – Early Tuesday morning (September 3, 2019 @ 6:30AM) Chilliwack RCMP was called to a remote section of Chilliwack Lake Road after receiving a report that a motor vehicle had crashed into a tree.  Officers arrived at the scene where they located the lone occupant , 17 year old Jordan Child who was deceased at the scene.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. Chilliwack Traffic Service supported by the RCMP Lower Mainland District Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) are in the early evidence gathering phase of their investigation.

On Tuesday night, a vigil was held in Abbotsford for the young man. Friends of the teen told FVN that Child had attended a weekend grad camp out with other teens from Abby schools,Yale Secondary and Robert Bateman Secondary.
