Abbotsford – The MCC In Abbotsford invite you to join them Saturday, June 22nd at 1PM as MCC BC and community groups celebrate World Refugee Day “Choose Welcome” at Mill Lake Park in Abbotsford.
This is a free community event, full of music, dance and stories of hope
from around the world.
Mark this special day at Mill Lake Park. Free parking is available at the Bevan Avenue entrance.
Refugees continue to seek spaces of safety in many places and for many reasons. MCC has been integrally involved in providing emergency assistance to thousands of internally displaced families and refugees in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Eastern Europe, as
well as facilitating the sponsorship of their resettlement in Canada.
This year MCC marks the 40th anniversary of refugee sponsorship. MCC BC also supports Refugee Claimants navigate the refugee claim process.
