Abbotsford – The City of Abbotsford announced the Neighborhood Spirit Grant Recipients for 2019.
The Neighbourhood Spirit Grant program is a partnership between The City of Abbotsford, Vancouver Foundation, and the Abbotsford Community Foundation. The purpose of the grants is to support projects within Abbotsford neighbourhoods to help residents “Get to Know their Neighbours”, and foster inclusive, connected and vibrant neighbourhoods. The program received a record number of 50 applications for 2019, a 19% increase from last year. Successful projects were selected by a community vetting team and must be completed by November 2019.
The $17,000 in program grant funds were donated by the Abbotsford Community Foundation, and Vancouver Foundation, with the City of Abbotsford providing the application coordination.
