Young Artists Invited To Perform At Fort Langley Jazz Fest – Deadline May 31

Fort Langley – The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival is currently seeking applications from emerging young jazz artists to perform on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28.

In addition to non-stop free jazz music with more than 25 jazz acts performing on two outdoor stages in front of the Fort Langley Community Hall, the jazz festival will once again have a number of pop-up performance stages for youth and up and coming jazz artists to play at around the village.

Up to 16 groups will be chosen to play at six different locations in the Fort Langley core.

“One of the key mandates of the festival is to support youth and emerging artists and we are delighted to once again provide paid gig opportunities for up and coming jazz acts,” said Dave Quinn, artistic director for the festival. “This is a wonderful opportunity for an emerging artist to perform at a festival.”

Youth musicians and emerging talent are welcome to apply. Applications close May 31.
