World Skateboarding Championship Results
The Country Fair also showcased the world’s top skateboarders for the eighth annual World Freestyle Round-Up skateboarding competition, where riders representing ten nations around the globe competed for $10,000 in cash prizes.

History was made when 15-year old Isamu Yamamoto of Japan performed a run using two skateboards that earned first place and $3,000 in prize money. It’s the first time ever in skateboard history that the winner did tricks using two skateboards at the same time. Ten-year-old  Yuzuki Kawasaki from Japan nearly made history himself, finishing second overall in the professional division, taking home $2,000. Had he won; he would have been the youngest ever professional winner in international competition.

“It’s the first time ever in skateboard history that the winner did tricks using two skateboards at the same time,” said contest producer and Canadian professional skateboarder Kevin Harris. “I dropped the microphone and went over and gave him a hug. No one has ever seen it before in a world competition. It’s a game changer.”

  1. Congrads to Isamu!!! 3 in a row!!! and the strong showing of the Japanese Team. But what i found really great was that the Rodeo Administration wanted to hold the Freestyle Skateboard Competition at the Rodeo! This is very progressive thinking – Thank you CRCF for your inclusiveness and visionary wisdom.
