Fraser Valley – The Day of Mourning is Sunday April 28. The BC Federation of Labour notes that in 2018, 187 workers died at work or from work-related illnesses. It’s a day for sombre reflection, but also a collective call to action. From their website:”We must do more to protect BC workers”
Across Canada, April 28 has been designated the Day of Mourning. As workers, families, employers, and communities come together at ceremonies held around the province to remember those who have lost their lives to work-related incidents or occupational disease, let’s renew our commitment to creating healthy and safe workplaces.
