Abbotsford — The dates have set for the first round of the 2019 PJHL playoffs and the Abbotsford Pilots will face-off against the Langley Trappers in a best-of-seven series. It will be the second season in a row that these two teams meet in the first round. The two sides come into the postseason with the fourth and fifth seed, respectively.
Abbotsford finished the season with a 27-14-2-1 record with the clubs’ highest winning percentage in the past three seasons (0.648%), highlighted by a record year by team captain Baylee Wright (125pts). The Trappers managed a 25-17-0-2 record with 49-point campaigns from 2000-born forwards Carter Graham and Casey Whintors.
Pilots home games will be played at MSA Arena (2323 Emerson Street), while Trappers home games will be played at the George Preston Recreation Centre in Langley (20699 42 Ave).
