Valley RCMP Want Your Input On Strategic Plan

Fraser Valley – The Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment of the RCMP is asking for your opinion. You can give the local RCMP Detachment input via an anonymous online survey.

The survey consists of nine brief questions on policing, crime, and public safety in the Upper Fraser Valley.

The Regional Detachment is offering the survey as a means of reaching out to the communities it serves, and for citizens’ views on various aspects of the service provided by the RCMP in the Upper Fraser Valley.

The survey is part of the preparation of a new Strategic Plan for the Regional Detachment.  The Strategic Plan provides a ‘road map’ for the Detachment, assisting with decision-making about where and how to use resources to best serve community needs.

The survey will be online from January 7 to 27, 2019.  It is completely anonymous, and the answers are submitted to an independent third party who provides the RCMP with a summary report of responses.  The Detachment plans to report back on survey findings results via the media and presentations to community partners later this year.

Members of the public can access the survey by clicking onto:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/UFVRDCOMMUNITY (for survey in English), or

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DRVHFcommunaute (for survey in French).

Anyone who resides, works or attends school in the UFVRD service area is invited to participate and share their views.  The Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment area includes all regions from Chilliwack to Boston Bar including Agassiz, Harrison, Hope, and the Fraser Valley Regional District.
