Electoral Mail In Vote Extended To Friday December 7

Fraser Valley/Victoria- With the chaos and confusion from rotating postal strikes still in play, Elections BC has extended the mail in vote for the Proportional Representation vote to December 7. The original mail in deadline was November 30.

Rotating Strikes at Canada Post

As a result of rotating strikes at Canada Post, the voting period for the 2018 referendum on electoral reform has been extended to December 7, 2018 giving more time to voters to return their completed referendum voting package to Elections BC. Elections BC continues to monitor the situation with Canada Post.

At last count, some 30% of the province wide ballots had been mailed back to the vote counters.
