Chilliwack RCMP Search For Bait Car Suspect

Chilliwack – RCMP need your help to identify a man in a photograph taken from a Bait car camera.

The image was shot on Saturday November 24 around 2:45 AM, when a man triggered the surveillance camera and alarm of a police Bait car parked on Quarry Road. General Duty officers immediately conducted patrols of the area but a suspect was not located.

RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the man in the photo, says Corporal Mike Rail spokesperson for the UFVRD.

Police are reminding holiday shoppers to protect their purchases from theft by:

  •  Storing articles out of sight in parked vehicles.
  •  Lock vehicle doors.
  •  Remove property and remote garage door openers from vehicle when parking for the night.
  •  Park in open visible areas.
