Surrey – Surrey Kicks Off the Holiday Season this Saturday at Surrey Tree Lighting Festival and Holiday Market.
Santa arrives just before 1PM and then then music starts:
5:30 p.m. (Main Stage) – Warren Dean Flandez headliner performance
6:30 p.m. (Main Stage) – Tree lighting ceremony with mayor and council
Surrey City Hall (Civic Plaza and Atrium) and City Centre Library

The expanded holiday market will return to offer locally-made goods. The Holiday Fun Zone on University Drive will feature:
- amusement rides
- road hockey
- soccer
- inflatables
- a DJ
The lighting of Surrey’s 60-foot Christmas tree will cap the event. This is one of the tallest Christmas trees in Canada.
The festival will be headlined by local urban R&B and gospel performer Warren Dean Flandez. Additional highlights include a Ferris wheel, berry-go-round, inflatables, family activities, road hockey, cookie decorating and children’s crafts. The Surrey Food Bank, Surrey Christmas Bureau, Sophie’s Place and the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society will be on site collecting donations.
