Three Charged In Agassiz Property Crime Spree

Agassiz  – Three people are charged following the RCMP investigation of a Fraser Valley property crime spree.

On May 2, the RCMP received a complaint of suspicious activity at an apartment in the 500-block of Lillooet Avenue, Harrison.  Agassiz General Investigation Support Team (GIST) officers arrived at the address where police gathered evidence linking suspects to alleged stolen property.

A search warrant was executed at the apartment by GIST officers on May 3.

Credit cards, debit cards, passports, driver’s licences, and identification, associated to reports of property thefts from across the Fraser Valley and Vancouver, alleged drugs and paraphernalia were seized by officers during the search.

As a result of the investigation three people have been officially charged – two have been arrested and one is currently wanted by police.

Jered Donovan Sims, 23, of Harrison Hot Springs is charged with forging or falsifying credit cards, possess forged credit card, and possess identity documents.

Lorne James Sims, 45, of Harrison Hot Springs and Christina Stephan, 32, of Popkum are each charged with identity theft, possess forged credit card, and possess identity documents.

Lorne Sims and Christina Stephan were arrested by police in late August 2018. Both were released from custody pending a court date in mid-September.
