Ridge Meadows RCMP Investigating Gun Shot Injury – 10 Year Old Maple Ridge Boy Hurt

Maple Ridge  – Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a firearms injury involving a young Maple Ridge boy.

On, Thursday afternoon (June 28 @3:40PM) police received a report of a 10-year-old boy who had suffered a gun shot wound which occurred in the 24000 Block of 110th avenue. The boy was transported to hospital. The scene has been secured by police.

This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety. The investigation is ongoing and no further details will be released at this time.
