Chilliwack – The City of Chilliwack and Emil Anderson Construction have put together a video including time lapse photos and video on the new Vedder Bridge. It’s not the first bridge, it’s #9 (insert the Beatles reference here).
The cost of a two-minute video was shared between the City of Chilliwack and Emil Anderson, although the actual amount has not been published, but it does become a great marketing tool for Chilliwack and Cultus Lake.
Federal and Provincial funding was made through the New Building Canada Fund – Small Communities Program. The City also chipped in one third of the cost.
The $12.5 million bridge, wider than the last one was completed in August 2017, complete with walking and cycling lanes and connecting the North and South sides of the Vedder Rotary trail.
