Rosedale Woman Charged In Car Theft

Chilliwack:  A woman from Rosedale is facing multiple criminal charges after being arrested by RCMP.

The charges stem from the investigation initiated by the RCMP after police stopped a suspicious car in the 51000-block of Yale Road on December 13, 2016.  The suspect was taken into custody after officers connected the licence plate displayed on the vehicle to the report of a theft made to police on December 12, 2016 from Teskey Road. 

During the investigation, RCMP CRU officers, gathered evidence linking the suspect to an alleged theft from a vehicle in the 45000-block of Market Way, reported to police on November 28, 2016 and an alleged robbery in the 5900-block of Vedder Road reported to police on December 1, 2016.

Brianna Margaret Leanne Brown, 22, is facing three counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of use a credit card obtained by the commission of an offence, assault with intent to steal, mischief, theft, and three counts of fail to comply with the condition of an undertaking.  Brown is in custody pending a court appearance in early January.
