14th Annual Small Business BC Awards – FVN In Three Categories

Vancouver/Fraser ValleySmall Business BC, the province’s premier resource for entrepreneurs, and the Insurance Bureau of Canada, opened nominations and voting for the 14th Annual Small Business BC Awards on October 1, 2016. Six small businesses in Chilliwack have been nominated:

Ann Davis Transition Society – Best Community Impact

 FVN Fraser Valley News – Premier’s People’s Choice, Best Marketer and Best Concept

Immigration Advice Bureau (IAB) Corp. – Premier’s People’s Choice

Inspired Arts and Gifts Inc. – Premier’s People’s Choice and Best Community Impact

Pro Float Inc. – Best Concept

Studio B Yoga and More Inc. – Premier’s People’s Choice and Best Community Impact

The Small Business BC Awards is the largest small business awards competition in the province. These awards recognize the outstanding achievements of BC’s entrepreneurs and celebrate the contributions new and existing businesses registered in BC, with fewer than 50 employees, make to their local communities and the global economy.

A big thank you to Small Business BC just for the nomination and as well, a big shout out to Dennis Rook, Teresa Pippus and Bruce Fatkin and everyone at Community Futures for helping us get off the ground. FVN started from the demise of local radio station newsrooms in the Valley and looking at the changing landscape, we saw an opportunity.  All (legit) information is now on the new playing field of social media and we are part of that cutting edge. We are a small  business that caters our advertising to encompass all advertisers (big or small) and getting the Valley message out to the masses. There are 300,000+ people living in the Valley. We are all, a driving economic force in a rapidly changing environment.”

Nominations and voting close on November 30, 2016. Entrepreneurs are invited to nominate their businesses and the public is encouraged to nominate their favourite small businesses in any of this year’s 10 categories:
