Abbotsford – On Wednesday night (August 17, 2016 at 9:11 pm), Abbotsford Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 3100 block of Crown Court. APD officers moved into the area and located an injured male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male began receiving medical treatment at scene and was transported to hospital, where he died.
The investigation is now being transitioned to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) as a result. Further media updates will be provided by IHIT.
IHIT confirmed that this was a targeted hit. Little comfort to neighbours who are in shock.
