Chilliwack, BC – RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the driver of car allegedly involved in a collision with a pedestrian in the downtown region.
On Thursday October 22, 2015 at approximately 1:00 p.m. police received a report that a 21 year old woman was in the cross walk of the intersection at Yale Road and Kipp Avenue when she was struck by a car. The vehicle continued to travel along Kipp Avenue without stopping at the collision. The pedestrian was treated and released from hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The incident was reported to police by the victim later that day.
The suspect vehicle was described to police as a red Sunfire with damage to the back of the car, driven by a Caucasian male in his late twenties or early thirties.
“As police follow all leads in our investigation we are also reaching out for the public’s assistance to identify the driver of the Sunfire,” said Cpl. Mike Rail.
