Coroner Releases Name Of Young Hope BC Boy Killed In Traffic Accident

Hope/Vancouver – The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a child who died after a motor vehicle incident in Hope on Oct. 7, 2015.

He was Jorin Clay Dann-Mills, aged eight years, a resident of Hope.

Jorin was a pedestrian crossing 6th Ave. in Hope at about 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 7, when he was struck by a garbage truck. Jorin was transported quickly by ambulance to Fraser Canyon Hospital, but died soon after arriving there.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

Jorin’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
