Abbotsford BC (With files from STAR FM) – After all the recent pride flag controversy in Abbotsford, the flag is flying at City Hall and let the celebrations begin.
This weekend will be all about diversity in the areas of gender and sexual orientation at the Fraser Valley Pride Celebration in Abbotsford.
The Celebration starts Friday night with a youth dance at 6:30 hosted by the Fraser Valley Youth Society, followed by an outdoor movie presentation.
Then on Saturday is a day long festival, featuring entertainment, food vendors and community booths.
In the evening there will be a dinner and drag show at 6 PM, with money raised going to the Fraser Valley Youth Society, followed by a dance party at 8 presented by Out in the Valley.
Finally on Sunday starting at 6 PM is an art exhibit, featuring artists from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and transgender community.
All the events will be at the Tretheway House.
