Chilliwack Alano Club Thanks The Community June 27

Chilliwack, BC – The Chilliwack Alano Club has been a downtown fixture on Victoria Avenue (at Nowell) for over 30 years. Many people don’t know what is inside. It’s a safe haven drop in centre that provides an alcohol and drug free environment.

Meetings for 12 Step groups such as AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), NA (Narcotics Anonymous) and Alanon (for families and friends of alcoholics and addicts) are held there daily and nightly.

It is also child friendly and has a full blown restaurant. Memberships are available for $5 a month or $60 annually..

Once a year, the Alano Club throws it’s doors open for an open house, to create awareness of what they do and the services they provide to the community.

The Club is hosing a “customer appreciation” day on June 27th 1:30pm to 4pm, with Food, coffee and fellowship.

Again, stressing that this is a facility open to everyone, not just those directly dealing with addiction.

The Chilliwack Alano Club has it’s own Facebook page and it can be found here.
