Princess Avenue Drug Bust In Chilliwack

Chilliwack, BC –  One man was arrested, drugs and a firearm were seized as a result of a search warrant.

On Wednesday May 27, 2015 at approximately 4:00 p.m. police arrived at an address in the 45700 block of Princess Avenue for the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant to find a male barricaded inside. Officers from the Crime Reduction Unit supported by Serious Crime Unit gained entry through a side door taking a 47 year old Chilliwack man into custody.

The suspect was later released from police custody pending further investigation.

Drugs believed to be crack cocaine, heroin, cash, and a loaded firearm were seized during the search.

No one was injured during the execution of the warrant.

“Our investigation was initiated when folks reported to us unusual activity in the area”, says Corporal Mike Rail, “Neighbours watching out for neighbours is one of the most effective means we have to continue keeping our community safe”.
