Chilliwack, BC – (CTV/Global)  Chilliwack RCMP say a 48-year-old man has died after a bizarre incident involving an ATV Sunday afternoon. (Family tell Global News the victim was Andy Rotzetter who was with a group of ATV riders when he tried to help a rider in his group go slowly over a rock on Windy Knob trail. According to Rotzetter’s son, the rider lost control, hit the throttle, and pushed him off a cliff.)

CTV reported the man was hiking on the Windy Knob Trail at Tamihi Creek at around 1:06 p.m. when he tried to dodge an ATV riding past him, according to police.

In the process, he fell off a cliff and was later found dead.

It is unclear how steep the cliff was.

The man’s body has since been recovered and authorities have notified family of his death.

Police say the male driver of the ATV is cooperating with them.
