Surrey – On Monday, Fruiticana in Surrey made a 2 Ten-Tonne Truck Load Donation to Surrey Food Bank.
“Fruiticana will deliver more food in the coming days and garner additional support from their suppliers to participate this year and in the years to come because we believe in giving back to those in need in the spirit of Vaisakhi,” said Tony Singh, Founder and President, Fruiticana.
“The Surrey Food Bank is extremely grateful for this generous donation from Tony Singh and Fruiticana,” said Feezah Jaffer, Executive Director, Surrey Food Bank. “Vaisakhi is a time of celebration and to give back to the community. The Surrey Board of Trade urges all community leaders to join Tony Singh of Fruiticana to give to the Surrey Food Bank. Items of need are:
Canned proteins (canned fish/meat)
Peanut butter
Canned vegetables/legumes (beans, chickpeas, corn, etc.)
Pasta
Pasta sauce
Vegetarian baby food (in jars or packets)
Diapers (size 4, 5, 6)
Baby wipes
